Spring Cleanup will be held again this year for the RESIDENTS of Gananoque. Residents are responsible for transporting their unwanted items to 665 Charles St. North (the former land fill site). Disposal bins will be provided at the site.
The site will be open for the residential spring cleanup on the following day only:
Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
PLEASE NOTE: You WILL be required to provide proof of residency to Bylaw Enforcement at the gate
Fees will be charged at the gate as follows:
White Goods:
- Large (ie refrigerators, freezers) - $25.00 each
- Small (stoves, washers, dryers, etc.) - $15.00 each
Air Conditioners & de-humidifiers - $15.00 each
Televisions:
- Large floor models - $15.00 each
- Small models - $10.00 each
Micro-wave ovens - $10.00 each
Hot water heaters:
- (up to 50 gallons) - $10.00 each
- over 50 gallons - $15.00 each
Tires: (max. tire size accepted – 24 inch)
- Small (up to 16 inch) - $5.00 each
- Large (over 16 inch) - $10.00 each
Box springs or mattress - $5.00 each
Sofa, love seat, occasional chairs - $5.00 each
Other materials not specified above - $20.00/truck load
Leaves, brush, clean lumber, and yard (garden) waste - FREE of CHARGE
The following materials will NOT be accepted:
- Household garbage
- Demolition materials
- Materials from businesses or contractors
- Tires larger than 24 inch dia.
