Public Information Centre for the proposed reconstruction of Bay Road

Wednesday, June 21, 2017 - from 7:00pm to 9:00pm
The Town of Gananoque is undertaking a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment for the reconstruction of a 220m waterfront portion of the Bay Road. The need for reconstruction is due to the desire for an additional boat launch and the availability of supporting parking.
The project is being initiated in accordance with the latest edition of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Manual. The Municipal Class EA applies to municipal infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, water and wastewater projects. This project is designated as a Schedule ‘B’ undertaking, under the Environmental Assessment Act. Public and agency consultation is an important component of the Environmental Assessment process. Public and agency input is invited for incorporation into the planning and design of the project.
The proposed work includes: the reconstruction of the waterfront portion of the Bay Road, construction of a boat launch, additional parking, and a walking path.
