Event Description: Thursday July 12, 2018, is our Summer Gathering… this year on the Gananoque Boat Line! Tickets for this event can be purchased online.
Arrive at 6:00 at the Arthur Child Heritage Museum for a celebratory glass of wine and join us as we open the two new permanent exhibits. Gananoque was once called the Birmingham of Canada, with important manufacturing plants – time we celebrated this epoch through the exhibit of industry and innovative thought (sponsored by Grant and Alice Burton). In the First Peoples’ exhibit we acknowledge traditional territory of the Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee cultures of this region and take a glimpse at their world view and traditions (with thanks to our consultant, Eartha).
7:00 board the Thousand Islander V – compliments of the Gananoque Boat Line. Ample Refreshments, and Hors d’Oeuvres (Light and fresh summer bites!) Our annual silent auction table and most of all, a beautiful tour of our Thousand Islands.
Return to the mainland at 9:00 p.m.
As we begin our planning – we look forward to hearing from you. We welcome ideas, suggestions and most of all your participation in making this 2018 Summer Gathering very special. (Call Susan Smith, 613 382-4892 Island and 613 539-2204 Cell)
This is the third year that Georgina Ratcliffe and Chestnut Park have supported our Gala, and the second year for Brian Knudsen and CIBC Wood Gundy. Their generosity is what makes our community so special. This year the generous support from Neil McCarney and the Gananoque Boat Line means our Summer Gathering will be an outstanding one.
Event Location: Arthur Child Heritage Museum - 125 Water Street, Gananoque
