Iron Willed: Women in STEM

Event Description
Iron Willed: Women in STEM, a new exhibition developed by Ingenium – Canada's Museums of Science and Innovation. Designed to engage, advance, inspire, and support young women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), Iron Willed: Women in STEM hopes to contribute to international efforts advocating for gender equity, and to address the issue of underrepresentation of women in STEM. The exhibition also underlines that women have always been leaders in these fields. Featuring inspirational figures such as Donna Strickland, Jocelyn Bell Burnell, and Melissa Sariffodeen, this travelling display shares the stories of im portant contributions made by women, in the hopes of addressing the many structural and cultural barriers that contribute to gender biases and underrepresentation of women in STEM.
