Town Hall Park Trees Removed as Recommended by Arborist Report

Town News

The Town of Gananoque is currently in the process of removing trees from Town Park. In June of 2018, an Arborist Inspection of the trees in Town Park was conducted. This excerpt was taken from the report:

“Tree Removals: Following the inspection of trees a total of eight trees have been recommended for removal. These trees are suggested for removal as they exhibit poor health and/or structural issues that are beyond a reasonable capacity to recover from.” Justin Smith, ISA Cert # ON-2155A, T.R.A. Qualified, ETC Eco Tree Care Inc.

It was also necessary to remove several other trees to accommodate the new entrance to Adelaide Street.

Although it is with unhappiness that we bid the majestic trees farewell, the safety of Park users is our most paramount concern. We are eager to watch the younger trees grow and flourish under the newly found sunshine.
