Public Notices

Dear Resident and/or Business:

Please be advised that the Town will be completing asphalt resurfacing of your street. This includes Milling/Grinding of the existing asphalt surface, and following, hot mix paving to reinstate the roadway surface. The following streets that are affected by the operations are listed below:

- King Street from King Street Bridge to Charles Street
- Wilson Drive from King Street East to Talbot Place
- North Street from Charles Street North to William Street North

Milling/Grinding works are tentatively scheduled (weather permitting) to commence during the week of September 10th, 2018. Milling/Grinding operations consist of cold milling of the existing asphalt surface to a depth of 40-50 mm (approximately 2”). Existing manholes, catch basins and valves within the roadway will be painted with orange construction paint for identification by motorist and pedestrians.

Hot Mix Paving is tentatively scheduled (weather permitting) to commence during the week of September 17, 2018.

These operations may cause a degree of inconvenience to your home or business, however the Town is taking every precaution possible to mitigate the disruption. Any parking currently permitted on your street will be temporarily removed in order to maintain traffic through this section and minimize delays. If you require a loading/unloading area to your business, we suggest you unload your goods from the rear of your building.

During the aforementioned works, sidewalks will remain open, and pedestrian traffic to your home/business will be maintained. A lane of traffic on your street will be maintained, and proper temporary traffic control measures will be in place. If you have any question or concerns about the works, please do not hesitate to contact my office, either by phone or e-mail at your convenience (see below).
