The Public Works Department would like to advise that Eastern Ontario Power will be removing Eel ladders on the morning of Thursday, October 1st, 2020 at the Confederation Park Dam, and as a result the walking path across the dam will be temporarily closed to facilitate the work.
The Water Street Swing Bridge will not have vehicular or pedestrian access until October 9th, 2020 due to mechanical issues. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the Superintendent of Roads:
There is currently an un-planned service disruption.
Tentatively starting September 30th, the Lions Loop Trail will be closed at Fourth Street for drainage improvements to the Town’s ditching system. The trail will be open by October 9th, 2020. Please plan your walking/cycling trips accordingly.
Please be advised that the Council of the Town of Gananoque has deferred the interest on the Utility accounts from September 18th to November 2nd.
The Public Works Department will be accepting “Clean White Packaging Styrofoam” at the site located at the east end of James A. Brennan Road on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm (noon), May to November. The site is closed for the winter.
