The Town would like to thank everyone in the community who had the opportunity to come to the second Public Information Center held on September 24th, 2019 at 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
On April 30th, 2019, the Town hosted a Public Information Center showing 3 design options - “A”, “B”, and “C” with respective options options “A1”, “B1”, and “C1” including the existing trees and curb shown for reference. These options are inclusive of a Multi-Use Pathway design along Pine Street. After the meeting, the Town compiled the comments received by the attendance. A majority of the comments received from the Public Information Center were in support of conserving as much of the tree canopy on the street as possible and were in favour of a one-way street with no on-street parking, with the inclusion of the Multi-Use Pathway. After compilation of the comments, we completed two additional designs incorporating the comments we received from the original Public Information Center (one way street with no on-street parking). These drawings are listed as Options “D” and “E”. These drawings were introduced at the second Public Information Center hosted on September 24th, 2019 alongside the existing Options “A”, “B”, and “C” for anyone who could not attend the initial Public Information Center. All drawings referenced in this Public Notice have been placed below as PDF’s.
Please note that all drawings currently are preliminary, and the Town is currently accepting and analyzing comments on the streetscape of Pine Street. For people who could not be in attendance for last nights meeting, the Town is accepting any comments regarding the drawings submitted until October 3rd, 2019 at 12:00pm Noon.
All comments can be submitted via e-mail including the below PDF filled out to Matthew Linton, Public Works Technologist at email@example.com.
