Please note that the Leeds, Grenville & Lanark District Health Unit has rescinded (lifted) the Boil Water Advisory for the properties affected by the water main break east of Elizabeth Drive. The Medical Officer of Health of the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit advises that the latest water samples of the drinking water supplying for The Town of Gananoque (in the affected area) indicate that the bacteriological water quality meets the Ontario Drinking Water Standards. The water is safe for drinking.
Health Unit officials have been in contact with commercial properties that were affected, and Town staff are currently delivering notices to affected residential properties, as well as commercial properties. The Boil Water Notice to Residents can be seen here Boil Water Advisory - Lifted Notice to Residents.
The Public Works Department, and the Leeds, Grenville & Lanark District Health Unit would like to thank residents, business owners, and visitors to Gananoque for their patience while we responded to this water main break.
