FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
TOWN OF GANANOQUE WATERFRONT - TEMPORARY CLOSURES
Gananoque, ON: Effective immediately until August 31, 2018, Water Street from Market Street to Kate Street will be closed from Monday to Thursday each week. This closure is being implemented to ensure public safety during the construction of the Island Harbour Club and the installation of hydro lines by Eastern Ontario Power.
Residents and Visitors launching at the Lions Ramp may access the launch via St. Lawrence Street from Monday to Thursday.
Signage will be posted accordingly. The Town of Gananoque asks that pedestrians, drivers, boaters respect the posted construction signage at all times.
Additionally, a temporary hydro pole has been located on the south side of Water Street, between Market Street and Kate Street in order to accommodate the construction of the southerly elevation of the Island Harbour Club. The temporary pole is expected to remain in its current location until the end of October.
Further communication will be available on the Town’s website or will be posted on the communication board at the waterfront for day-to-day notices.
The Public’s patience is appreciated during this busysummer season as we strive to ensure a safe, positive environment during construction.
