4th Intake of Business Chronicles Announced

Town News

The Town of Gananoque and the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands are pleased to announce the 4th intake of the Business Chronicles Project; an initiative that showcases local businesses through social media posts and websites. Business Chronicles allows our region to show appreciation to those individuals that have aided in the growth of the economy, our local business owners. The objective is to give local businesses an opportunity to share their story and further cultivate relationships with the community and consumer. The project is funded by the Rural Economic Development Program administered by Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.

“Both the Town and the Township are eager to hear the stories of our businesses and we can’t wait to showcase their stories to our communities and beyond. We know all that our businesses have worked long and hard to get where they want to be and we want to thank you for all the work you do.” Stated RED Project Coordinator, McKenna Modler who is in charge of the project.

This is an opportunity for local businesses to advertise, encourage shopping locally, and connect with future customers on a personal level. The business stories will be used as part of investment attraction campaigns to encourage other entrepreneurs to start or relocate businesses in our region.

“Businesses who have not previously participated in the Business Chronicles Project can fill out an interview form, this will not only help us recognize their fantastic business but it will also help to encourage others to join our amazing communities.” Said, Modler.
After the collection of the new interview submissions, we will be displaying each business on social media, promotional materials and on the Town/Township websites.
