A Month of Free Webinars During Second Lockdown

Town News

The Town of Gananoque and Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands want to help support our businesses more than ever, especially during this second lockdown. For the month of February, both the Town and Township are putting together a webinar series in collaboration with the Business Support Network to provide all the resources available to our businesses. These webinars will run on February 3, 10, 17 and 24 from 10 to 11 a.m. through Zoom online. Thanks to Rural Economic Development (RED), we are able to host these webinars through funding from the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.

On February 17 from 10 - 11 a.m., join KEYS Job Centre as they explain what programs and services are available to both the Job Seeker and Employer. Hear first-hand what Free services KEYS Job Centre has for our community.  You will learn how easy it is to access Employment Counsellors, Job Developers and a Resource Centre to help you navigate your job search.

On February 24 from 10 - 11 a.m., the 1000 Islands Gananoque Chamber of Commerce will speak about how they can support our businesses. The Chambers advocate and represent our business interests and issues affecting the community. They provide the environment to help our members prosper and succeed through a proactive working partnership with all levels of government & community organizations. As the Destination Marketing Organization for this region, the Chambers provide the following service to the tourism industry to bring in people to the region and offer a variety of informational support as well as advocacy support for businesses.

The Business Support Network consists of the Town of Gananoque, Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands, KEYS Job Centre, 1000 Islands Gananoque Chamber of Commerce, Gananoque Public Library, Leeds Grenville Small Business Centre and Eastern Workforce Innovation Board.
