“Coming from the harbour village of Tobermory, Ontario, I see many similarities with the Town of Gananoque. The influx of summer tourists and the direct water access is a major reason I am attracted to this area. I cannot be more pleased to serve a town that has so much going for it. From your relaxing waterfront, amazing restaurants, and exquisite downtown, I truly look forward to meeting everyone.”

“On behalf of Council and staff, I wish to welcome Steve Tiernan to the Town of Gananoque,” expressed Mayor Demchuk. “We are excited to move the Fire Service forward under Steve’s leadership. We would also like to extend our sincerest thanks and appreciation to Acting Fire Chief Gary Bullock who has been an integral part of assisting the Town with the Fire Service for the past year.”

Steve will begin his duties with the Town on Tuesday, September 5th 2017.
