Congratulations to Paul Harding on being selected as a 2026 inductee in the Teacher category of the Brockville and Area Music and Performing Arts Hall of Fame.

Each year, the Brockville Arts Centre recognizes outstanding individuals and welcomes new members into the Hall of Fame.

Paul is a highly respected musician, accompanist, and music director who has been an integral part of the Eastern Ontario performing arts community for decades, particularly in the Gananoque and Brockville regions.

Formally trained both locally and at Queen’s University, Paul holds a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Education, bringing a rare blend of musical excellence and educational leadership to his work.

For more than 30 years, he served as Organist and Choirmaster at Grace United Church, taught music in local schools, and has continued to inspire others through private music instruction. Deeply committed to community music-making, Paul was also one of the founders of the Gananoque Choral Society.

He has contributed to musical theatre for more than four decades as a music director, pit musician, and accompanist. In addition to his theatre and choral work, he remains an active live performer, appearing regularly in ensembles including the Paul Harding Trio.

In recognition of his longstanding community service, Paul was also honoured with the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal in 2002.

A well-deserved honour recognizing a lifetime of dedication to music, education, and community.
