The Town of Gananoque reminds residents that a permit is required for hot tubs and outdoor swimming pools capable of holding at least 18 inches of water.
A minimum four-foot-high enclosure with self-closing, self-latching gates is also required. Pool walls may serve as the enclosure, provided they are at least four feet high and access to the pool is restricted in accordance with municipal bylaw regulations.
