The disruption includes:
The Corporation of the Town of Gananoque and its contractor, Len Corcoran Excavating Ltd., would like to inform you that commencement of construction for the Arthur Street Reconstruction project (Stone Street South to Charles Street South), will begin in early May 2024 and will last until late October 2024.

A general summary of what to expect:

  • Road closure from May to October, open to local traffic only.
  • Replacement of sanitary/storm sewers and watermain.
  • Surface restoration including concrete curbs, sidewalk and asphalt road.

There is currently a planned service disruption. We apologize for any inconvenience; however, the Splash Pad at Joel Stone Park will be Closed for the Season.

From: September 30, 2024
To: May 2025

The disruption includes: the Splash Pad located at 135 Water Street; The Splash Pad will be closed for the season. Splash Pad will reopen in spring of 2025. The washrooms remain open with limited hours 8:00am – 3:00pm until Thanksgiving weekend October 14th, 2024.

The following alternative services are available:
Washrooms located at town hall 30 King St., E and Visitors center 10 King St., E. 9am – 4:00pm

The Town’s contractor will be completing geotechnical investigation drilling work for the ongoing shoreline erosion mitigation project. They will be drilling 12 boreholes as shown in the key map below. Expect short-term sidewalk closures in the vicinity. Please follow signage. Some minor noise interference may be experienced near the work site.
