An easy way to enjoy an afternoon, take a swim or just relax and enjoy the beauty of the river and the view of the Thousand Islands. Joel Stone Park is located to the east of the Municipal Marina, just up from the Arthur Child Heritage Museum at the end of Water Street.

Gananoque Day Dock & Kayak Launch

Location: 110 Kate Street

  • Referred to as the P.U.C. Dock
  • 3 hours maximum day time docking
  • No overnight dockage between 10pm and 6am
  • Complimentary Launch use for kayaks and canoes
  • Use at own risk

Paid Vehicle Parking (no trailers), available in Lowertown (Joel Stone Heritage Park area) through the Honk Mobile App or parking kiosk machines accepting cash or credit card payments. Based on availability.

Access to St Lawrence River, large boat launch also at this location.

Gananoque Municipal Marina Boat Launch

Location: 21 Bay Street

  • Public Boat Launch Area located in the rear of the marina parking lot.
  • Complimentary Launch Use for boats less than 24 feet (Not suitable for larger boat launch use)
  • Surface is pavement (gravel under water)
  • Use at own risk
  • Access to St Lawrence River

No Trailer Parking. Trailer and Vehicle Paid Parking Available at the rear of the Recreation Centre at 600 King St (approx. 2 kms) from marina. **Black outdates may apply and based on availability.

Paid Vehicle Parking (no trailers), at our GMM parking lots available through the Honk Mobile App during April-May and Sept-October only (No paid parking available during the months of July & August at the marina lots. Additional vehicle parking available in Lowertown (Joel Stone Heritage Park area) during July/Aug) and based on availability.

Grass Creek Park

Head West on Highway 2 and enjoy another wonderful beach at Grass Creek Park.

Joel Stone Beach

Our beautiful Joel Stone beach lies on the shore of the St. Lawrence with a deep water swim dock and sandy beach and Splash Pad.

Hours of Operation:

  • Splash Pad: 8:00 a.m. to  8:00 p.m.
  • Joel Stone Washrooms: 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Landon Bay

A scenic drive down the 1000 Islands Parkway will lead you to Landon Bay, where there is a lookout with a long flat rock that stretches far into the water to dive off where it meets the sand bottom.

Lions Boat Launch

Location: Kate Street & St. Lawrence Street

  • Public Boat Launch Area
  • Surface is pavement (gravel under water)
  • 15 minute parking only (next to launch)
  • Complimentary Launch Use for boats over 24 feet
  • Use at own risk, No Trailer Parking available in Lowertown
  • Access to St Lawrence River

Paid Vehicle Parking (no trailers), available in Lowertown (Joel Stone Heritage Park area) through the Honk Mobile App or parking kiosk machines accepting cash or credit card payments

Trailer and Vehicle Paid Parking (Online using Honk Mobile App) Available at the rear of the Recreation Centre at 600 King St (approx. 2 kms) from marina. **Blackout dates may apply and based on availability.

River Street Boat Launch

Location: North end of River Street

  • Complimentary Launch use for smaller boats, kayaks and canoes
  • Use at own risk
  • Access to Gananoque River

River Street Canoe & Kayak Launch

Location: 165 River Street

  • Limited complimentary parking
  • Complimentary Launch use for smaller boats, kayaks and canoes
  • Use at own risk
  • Access to Gananoque River
