Melodia* is sponsoring a fundraiser in support of the Gananoque food bank. We have presented a concert supporting the food bank for a number of years and interest in this event has grown to the point that we need a larger venue to accommodate the attendees. Please mark in your calendar, December 4th at 2:00 PM in Christ Church, 30 Church St . Gananoque to support this worthwhile event with a freewill offering.
*Melodia is a semi-professional a cappella choir of local and area singers, well known for their performances in many communities in the Kingston area.
We welcome our new choir director Stella Claire ter Hart. Stella is a well-known Canadian composer, educator, adjudicator, and accompanist. She is directly descended from the Italian composer, Tomaso Vitali and has many other musical family members and ancestors. Stella is the only individual in Canada to have been awarded all four available degrees from the Toronto Conservatory of Music: piano pedagogy, piano performance, composition, and theory. Stella is a professional choral accompanist, opera accompanist, composer, adjudicator, conductor, music educator, and Past RCM examiner.
