Please be advised that the Clerk’s Office has received concerns from electors regarding David Osmond’s name appearing on the ballot. Mr. Osmond withdrew his candidacy on September 10, 2026, which was past the deadline to withdraw a candidacy (August 21, 2026). Under the Municipal Election Act “a person may withdraw his or her nomination by filing a written withdrawal in the clerk’s office, before 2 p.m. on nomination day….”
Mr. Osmond’s withdrawal was received in the Clerk’s following the deadline, (September 10, 2026), and therefore, as a Certified Candidate, his name is legally required to be on the ballot.
Although the voting system may permit you to select Mr. Osmond, any votes cast for him will be considered invalid.
