NOTICE I Disruption in Service - Joel Stone Beach

UPDATE | Beach is open as of July 18, 2025

There is currently an unplanned service disruption. We apologize for any inconvenience; however, the health unit has identified higher levels of e coli in the waters at Joel stone beach and town staff have posted cautionary signage use at own risk.

24 local beaches will be monitored weekly throughout the summer season from the end of June to the end of August. results are updated every Friday and can be found at, https://healthunit.org/.../recreati.../weekly-beach-results/

The disruption includes: the beach area only, Splash pad remains open located at 135 Water Street; The Splash Pad will be open 8am-8:00pm.The washrooms remain open 8am-11:00pm. We will continue to monitor the situation with the health unit and will update as required,
