There is currently an unplanned service disruption. The estimated time of the service disruption will be:
From: Monday September 14, 2026
To: Unknown
The disruption includes:
The Town of Gananoque Confederation Park Water Fountain has had considerable damage due to weeds, logs etc. floating down the river bumping into it and catching the wires. This has caused considerable weight and force on the electrical cable as well as the security cables holding it in place. It has caused a safety concern, and power has been shut off to the fountain until we can assess total damage and repair. Staff will pull the fountain on Thursday September 17 and review repairs with an electrician all efforts will be made to have it running for this weekend. If not easily repairable, the fountain will be removed and taken out of service for needed repairs and reinstalled in the spring of 2027.
On behalf of the Town of Gananoque, we would like to thank you for your patience in this matter
