The October 3rd 2023 Council Meeting was limited to two agenda items to allow Town Council to make a Delegation to the Council of the Township of Leeds and the 1000 Islands at the Township office in Lansdowne, regarding the Recreation Cost Sharing Agreement and the future of the Lou Jeffries Arena.
The Public meeting was held for the following Development Permits:
- Council approved a Development Permit for Home Hardware Stores Limited at 895 Stone Street North, to allow for an addition of an attached greenhouse structure at the front of the existing building, subject to various conditions and;
- Council approved a Draft Plan of Subdivision for Riverton Homes (Castlegrove) which will permit 105 dwelling units consisting of 24 single family dwellings, 12 semi-detached dwellings and 69 row house units. The development will also include park lands and the developer will explore options with Public Works regarding the road connectivity to King Street East via the Pine Street and Elmwood Drive area.
