The Town of Gananoque initiated their Electronic Waste Recycling Program in January 2011. Reports indicate that more than 50 million tonnes of e-waste globally is discarded each year with only 17% of it being recycled. Residents are encouraged to drop off their accepted e-waste items at no cost (see list here for accepted material) at the Public Works Yard by accessing the site at the end of James A. Brennan Road during regular hours of operation listed above.
