Eastern Ontario Power Advises Customers of Planned Hydro One Outage Affecting Gananoque - February 22, 2026

Public Notices

Eastern Ontario Power (EOP) is advising customers in the Town of Gananoque of a planned Hydro One outage scheduled for Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.  This mandatory outage is required by Hydro One to facilitate upgrades to their system. During this work, the main electrical feed to Gananoque will be taken offline, resulting in a town-wide power outage.

“In an effort to minimize the inconvenience, the outage has been scheduled at times thought to be the least disruptive to our customers,” said Jackie Baird, Regional Manager, EOP. “We recognize the inconvenience this Hydro One mandatory outage may cause our customers and we encourage customers to plan accordingly and thank them for their patience and understanding.”

In the event that the upgrades need to be rescheduled due to unforeseen events, the alternate date would be March 1, 2026.
