- Council read By-law No. 2025-035 a first and second time, to approve the 2025 Tax Rates and Ratios.
- The Final Status of the 2024 Community Grants Program was received for information.
- The 2024 Treasurer’s Statement for the Development Charges Reserve Funds was received for information.
- Council received the 2024 Unaudited Financial Results for information.
- The Statement of Council and Committee Remuneration and Expenses for the year ended December 31, 2024, in order to comply with legislative Requirements was received for information.
- Council awarded a contract by By-law, with Hartington Equipment for the procurement of two (2) ride-on mowers for the Parks & Recreation Department in the amount of $58, 850.04 (plus the Town’s share of HST), plus an additional $2,400.00 for two (2) extended warranties.
- Council approved a budget deviation in the amount of $625,000 plus HST to complete the removal, repair and replacement of the 300 series docks and shoreline docks at the Gananoque
- Municipal Marina. Subsequentially, a By-law was passed to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign an agreement with Kehoe Marine Construction to complete the removal and construction of the 300 series floating docks and the shoreline stationary dock at the Gananoque Municipal Marina.
- A By-law was passed to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign an agreement with Gananoque Chevrolet GMC for the procurement of four (4) pick-up trucks to an upset limit of $241,747.00 (exclusive of the Town share of HST).
- Council passed a By-law to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign a Phase 2 Model Home Agreement for two (2) model homes in the Castlegrove Subdivision, with 10664006 Canada Inc.
- Mayor Beddows provided notice that he will be bringing forward two (2) recommendations for Council’s consideration on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, regarding an amendment to the General
- Fees and Rates By-law No. 2025-015 – Schedule ‘I’ – Disposal Fees, and the Water & Wastewater Rates By-law No. 2025-002 – Implications of Amending Capital Levy.
- Council passed a Motion to request that the Province allow the Town to opt out of the Expansion of Strong Mayor Powers.
