Do NOT recycle your syringes & sharps! Used needles and syringes cannot be recycled and don’t go in the garbage. They are hazardous and must be disposed of properly.
To properly dispose of needles:
♻️ Get a sharps container from your pharmacy
♻️ Take it home
♻️ Fill it
♻️ Return it to your pharmacy
If you don’t have a sharps container, place your used needles in a hard plastic (or glass) container (like a water or pop bottle) and secure the lid, until you are able to get to the pharmacy to get a sharps container.
Alternatively, there is a sharps drop box @ 220 King St E, behind the building (old Guardian Drugs) in Coopers Alley.
Syringes and sharps need to be disposed of safely and properly to prevent accidental injuries and potential infections.
