Here are a few reminders-
Parking
Please note that it is an offence to park or strand a vehicle in such a manner as to interfere with the movement of traffic or the clearing of snow from a highway, per Section 170 of the Highway Traffic Act. Vehicles can be towed at the owners expense.
Clearing your driveway
It is an offence under the Highway Traffic Act, Section 181, to deposit snow on a roadway, without permission in writing to do so from the road authority (Town of Gananoque). This includes pushing snow across the roadway.
Drive with caution
During winter operations please give the plow and operators room to safely do their job. Please slow down and drive to the road conditions. Be safe.
