Town of Gananoque News for Council April 01, 2025
- Doug Bickerton, Rotary Club of Gananoque, presented a Power Point presentation entitled, “Rotary Project 2025 Sidewalk Plaques for Old Portage at Gananoque Falls”.
Kingston – Cataraqui Conservation has issued a Flood Watch today due to snowmelt and rainfall runoff, resulting in elevated flows and water levels and increased likelihood of flooding in certain portions of the region.
The Town of Gananoque is hiring for the following positions:
Jane Hess, EKIOC Coordinator, presented a Power Point Presentation entitled “Every Kid in Our Communities (EKIOC) of Leeds & Grenville” to Council for information.
Council passed motions to amend the General Fees and Rates By-law to include user fees for the following:
Council presented Gretchen Huntley, Town of Gananoque Poet Laureate, a certificate of recognition and flowers to celebrate her receipt of the King Charles III Coronation Medal. Congratulations Gretchen!
Kimberley Marshall, RN, South East Health Unit (formerly Leeds, Grenville and Lanark) appeared before Council and presented a PowerPoint presentation titled, “Alcohol Use in Leeds, Grenville & Lanark (LGL)” and requested that Council strengthen the Town’s Municipal Alcohol Policy.
Please be advised that the Council of the Town of Gananoque has established a Transportation Informal Working Group and invites citizen members to apply to sit on the Working Group.
