This summer, the Town will be replacing the length of water main between King Street East and Elmwood Drive. The approximate area directly affected, and which will be subject to excavation, is shaded in green on the map.

Recent water main breaks in this area have prompted the replacement of this length of water main. This work will help ensure reliable water supply to this neighbourhood and to the east end of Town well into the future.

The tender for this work has been awarded to Len Corcoran Excavating Ltd. Work is anticipated to begin in mid-to-late July and conclude on or before the end of September 2026.

As part of this project, two temporary water main shutdowns are anticipated. The first is expected to be approximately four or fewer hours in length. The second is expected to be approximately eight hours in
length. Addresses where water service will be impacted will be provided hand-delivered notices ahead of any planned shutdowns.

At the conclusion of this project, the ground surface through this work areawill appear and function similarly how it does now.

On behalf of the Town of Gananoque, I would like to thank you for your patience while we undertake this important work.

Inquiries can be directed to pwinfo@gananoque.ca, 613-382-2149 x1613.

Sincerely,
Matthew Hoult
