Construction is taking place September 25 at King and Charles St.
The Public Works Department would like to inform you of concrete sidewalk replacement and curb repair, taking place on your street.
To improve pedestrian access through the downtown, the Town is replacing concrete sidewalk and repairing concrete curbing on the north side of the King Street East from the King Street Bridge to Stone Street. Work will include the removal and replacement of old sections of concrete sidewalk, as well as the repair or replacement of sections of concrete curb.
Driveway access will be interrupted due to the sidewalk and curb removal and replacement; however, this inconvenience will be kept to a minimum. Residents or customers unable to access driveway entrances due to construction must park on adjacent side streets or municipal lots. Repairs to driveways due to construction will be made following the sidewalk installation. Please note only the driveway area impacted by the construction will be repaired. The work will commence during the week of September 18th, 2017 with an anticipated completion date of early October 2017. Please note that this timeline is dependent on weather conditions and may be adjusted.
All parking regulations must be complied with when parking on adjacent streets. Any vehicles parked within the signed construction zones impeding construction will be towed at the owner’s expense (if towed, call Unique Towing and Recovery at 613-546-0090).
The Town and its contractor would like to thank you in advance for your co-operation through the duration of this project. We trust the above is clear; however, should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the undersigned.
