Town of Gananoque - COVID Recovery Grant
Gananoque Town Council recently passed a new schedule in the Community Improvement Plan to financially assist businesses that have had to retrofit their operations and implement new health and safety protocols due to COVID-19.
The Municipal Act restricts the bonusing of businesses. However, the Planning Act provides for the implementation of a Community Improvement Plan (CIP) which permits a combination of grants and loans. In collaboration with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, the Town adopted the program to assist businesses with making eligible improvements.
